• Provides care to patients transitioning from intensive care to medical‑surgical or general inpatient units.
• Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data to detect abnormalities.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments with a focus on cardiac care.
• Prepares equipment and assists physicians during cardiac‑related procedures and examinations.
• Maintains awareness of the comfort and safety needs of telemetry patients.
• Observes patients, records significant conditions and reactions, and notifies supervisors or physicians of cardiac status and responses to interventions.
• Responds to life‑saving situations based on nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocols specific to cardiac emergencies.
• Documents nursing history and physical assessments for assigned telemetry patients.
• Initiates patient education plans focusing on cardiac health, risk factors, and lifestyle modifications.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for telemetry patients.
• Adheres to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards.

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN.
• Current valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) certification.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.

• Remain in a stationary position, move about, and move equipment weighing 50‑100 lbs.
• Perform fine manipulation, push, pull, and bend when assisting with procedures.

• Grasp and manipulate equipment during procedures and departmental tasks.

• Cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure.
• Work under close supervision occasionally, and also independently without assistance from other personnel.

• Possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate.
