Registered Nurse - Operating Room | Kalispell, Montana

Seeking a skilled registered nurse with a strong background in operating room care to deliver exceptional perioperative services in a contract position. The role focuses on supporting surgical teams, ensuring a safe and effective environment throughout procedures, and providing patient-centered care before, during, and after surgery.

• Deliver nursing care as part of a multidisciplinary surgical team
• Prepare operating rooms and ensure all necessary instruments and supplies are sterilized and ready
• Monitor patient status, document care thoroughly, and respond to changes in condition
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and fellow nursing staff for smooth procedures
• Adhere to best practices in infection control, patient safety, and documentation
• Educate and support patients and their families regarding the surgical process and postoperative care
• Maintain accurate records of treatments, interventions, and assessments

• Active and unencumbered RN license
• Minimum of one year of recent experience in an OR or perioperative nursing role
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS preferred
• Demonstrated proficiency in surgical nursing techniques, including aseptic practice, patient advocacy, and instrument handling
• Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
• Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
