Logan Health Medical Center – Kalispell, Montana Shift: Weekend Day Shift – 12 Hours | Part-Time – 24 Hours
At Logan Health, our Weekend Day Shift Charge Nurses play a vital role in ensuring exceptional patient care continues around the clock. This position is more than providing outstanding bedside nursing care – it's an opportunity to lead, mentor, and support a team while coordinating patient care in a dynamic, fast-paced healthcare environment. As a Weekend Day Shift Charge Nurse, you'll serve as a clinical resource and leader for nursing staff, helping to prioritize patient care, coordinate workflow, respond to changing patient needs, and foster a collaborative environment where both patients and caregivers can thrive.

- Provide comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation utilizing the nursing process.
- Coordinate patient care activities while serving as a clinical leader and resource for nursing staff during assigned shifts.
- Promote a collaborative team environment by supporting, mentoring, and assisting team members to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Respond to changing patient conditions by prioritizing care, making sound clinical decisions, and coordinating appropriate interventions.
- Accurately implement provider orders, administer treatments, and ensure timely, thorough documentation in accordance with organizational standards.
- Maintain the highest standards of patient safety, infection prevention, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance.
- Educate patients and families regarding health conditions, treatments, medications, and discharge planning as appropriate.
- Foster a culture of professionalism, accountability, teamwork, and clinical excellence while supporting Logan Health's mission, vision, and values.
Required Qualifications
- Current Montana RN license or a multi-state compact license with authorization to practice in Montana.
- RQI Provider (BLS) certification within seven (7) days of hire/transfer or prior to providing independent patient care.
- Strong knowledge of professional nursing practice, patient assessment, medical terminology, and evidence-based patient care.
- Ability to effectively prioritize, delegate, and lead in a fast-paced, high-acuity healthcare environment.
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to patient confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and other applicable healthcare regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
- BSN degree.
- 2+ years of nursing experience in an acute care, clinic, physician office, or hospital setting.
- Previous charge nurse, leadership, or team coordination experience.
- Experience working in the assigned specialty or clinical area.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor staff, manage workflow, and promote positive team engagement.
