Seasonal Nursing in Northwest Montana – Where Your Work and Your Time Off Both Matter

We are seeking experienced Medical-Surgical nurses to join our Acute Care Unit for a 13-week seasonal assignment and help care for our community when demand is at its highest.

This is a unique opportunity to expand your medical-surgical nursing expertise in a fast-paced acute care environment. As a Seasonal RN in ACU, you'll care for patients with a wide variety of medical conditions, developing strong assessment, prioritization, and clinical decision-making skills while working with multidisciplinary teams.

You'll gain valuable experience managing complex patient needs, coordinating care across specialties, and supporting patients through hospitalization and recovery. ACU offers the opportunity to sharpen foundational nursing skills while caring for a broad and diverse patient population.

Seasonal Position Details:

• 13-week seasonal assignment
• 36 hours per week (3x12-hour shifts)
• 15% seasonal premium pay
• $1,000 bonus after 30 days
• $1,000 bonus after 60 days
• $2,000 completion bonus

What We're Looking For:

• Current Montana RN license or compact license eligibility
• 2+ years of Med/Surg experience
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and prioritization skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

August 10 – November 7 | Deep Fall in the Rockies

• Harvest festivals, craft fairs, and seasonal community events throughout the valley
• Missoula's fall arts season, including theater, live music, and cultural programming
• Early snowfall dusting higher elevations near Glacier National Park
• Small-town evenings in places like Bigfork and Whitefish
• A quieter pace across trails, roads, and outdoor spaces

August 24 – November 21 | Late Fall Transition Into Early Winter

• Watching the first snowfall settle into the surrounding mountains and Glacier National Park
• Exploring holiday markets and seasonal community events beginning to appear in local towns
• Enjoying Missoula's indoor concert, theater, and arts season
• Taking quiet walks on uncrowded trails and scenic drives through the valley
• Experiencing a strong sense of local community as the pace slows and winter approaches

September 7 – December 5 | Peak Fall Into the Holiday Season

• Taking in vibrant fall colors throughout Glacier National Park and the Flathead Valley
• Exploring local harvest festivals, farmers markets, and seasonal events
• Hiking among golden larch trees and enjoying crisp mountain air on uncrowded trails
• Visiting charming mountain towns decorated for the holidays
• Experiencing the first snowfall of the season and the anticipation of winter recreation

September 21 – December 19 | Fall Colors, First Snowfall & Holiday Magic

• Exploring Glacier National Park during peak fall color season
• Enjoying scenic drives framed by golden tamaracks, snow-capped peaks, and changing leaves
• Attending holiday festivals, tree lightings, and community celebrations throughout the Flathead Valley
• Experiencing the opening weeks of ski and snowboard season at Whitefish Mountain Resort
• Discovering the cozy charm of Montana's small towns during the holiday season

Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
