Job DetailsSUMMARY:
Develops CMM programs to measure products accurately and efficiently. Analyzes CMM measurement results to determine product acceptance or rework/repair options or support process development.
- Develops CMM programs.
- Provides documentation as necessary for the use of CMM programs.
- Specifies equipment.
- Trains personnel to set-up and run CMM programs as needed.
- Uses CMM programs to measure parts as needed. Zeiss Calypso.
- Bubble design documents and manage Bills of Characteristics.
- Develop and release Deliverable Documentation Packages to accompany parts shipping to customers.
- Perform dimensional and visual inspection of parts for quality and adherence to customer requirements and specifications.
- Determine disposition of nonconforming material working with other team members, customers, and suppliers as needed.
- Plan and document instructions for QC Operations.
- Limit overall nonconformance by early detection and continued surveillance.
- Record, analyze and report inspection results to production team members, customers, and suppliers.
- Assist production team members with first piece verification, first operation verification and in-process inspections.
- Has responsibility and authority to support and participate in continual improvement of AS9100 Quality Management System.
Provides training and direction to CMM operators performing QC Work Order Operations.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEAssociates degree or two-plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Working knowledge of GD&T principles including the ability to interpret GD&T symbols on design documents and determine related measurement strategy on the CMM.
LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to write reports, business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers, vendors, other company interested parties and other company employees. Ability to read regulatory standards, industry specifications and product design documents (drawings, part lists specifications, etc).
COMPUTER SKILLSAbility to use current computer programs for word processing, report writing, data analysis, math, and file control.
