Key Responsibilities- Novice welder with the capability of operating TIG, MIG, and Oxy Acetylene welding equipment as well as common shop tools such as grinders, sanders, and hydraulic straightening equipment.
- Moderate capability for reading and understanding engineering drawings.
- Moderate capability for using measuring equipment (tape measure, framing square, straight edge).
- Moderate capability for using shop measuring equipment, engineering drawings, and cutting equipment to cut stock (tubing, angle iron, channel iron, flat bar, etc.) for simple welded miscellaneous assemblies and frame assemblies.
- Moderate capability for fabricating simple miscellaneous welded assemblies.
- Maintains cleanliness of the work area and ensures proper handling of tools, equipment, and stock to prevent loss. Conforms to departmental safety requirements.
This is a physically demanding position that often requires standing for extended periods of time, walking, working in tight spaces, bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching, climbing stairs and ladders, lifting, distinguishing between colors, and working in a noisy environment. Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including welding helmets, hand shields, goggles, respirators, flame‑resistant clothing and aprons, and gloves are required. Additional PPE may be necessary for work in a clean room environment.

Compensation and BenefitsThe salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and consideration of internal equity. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable. For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
