Warehouse Shop Labor Express Employment Professionals is hiring for a local client! Are you looking for a hands‑on career in a fast‑paced fabrication environment? Our local client is seeking a Warehouse Shop & Field Laborer to support daily operations in a granite and quartz fabrication shop while assisting with counter top and cabinet installations at residential and commercial job sites. Pay $20.00 per hour.
Schedule Monday - Thursday 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (10‑hour shifts). Occasional Fridays as needed.
The Shop & Field Laborer supports daily production and installation operations within a stone fabrication facility. This role assists with slab handling, material staging, edge profiling, polishing, fabrication support, and on‑site installation of countertops and cabinets.
Key Responsibilities- Move raw stone slabs and finished products safely using slab clamps, forklifts, dollies, A-frames, and overhead crane systems.
- Assist with loading and unloading incoming deliveries and outgoing customer orders.
- Support fabrication processes including material staging, edge profiling, polishing, and finishing.
- Assist installers with counter top and cabinet installations at residential and commercial job sites.
- Handle and maneuver heavy stone materials safely and efficiently.
- Perform shop cleanup and maintain an organized work environment.
- Clean and maintain hand polishers, grinders, shop vacuums, air tools, and water‑fed equipment.
- Follow all company safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Experience in granite, quartz, or solid‑surface fabrication.
- Knowledge of seam setting, color‑matching epoxy, and polishing sequences.
- Experience operating forklifts, cranes, or material‑handling equipment.
- Ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to lift and maneuver 100+ pounds with team assistance.
- Comfort working in a physically demanding environment that includes frequent lifting, bending, standing, and carrying materials.
- Ability to safely work around bridge saws, CNC routers, hand polishers, grinders, and other fabrication equipment.
- Willingness to work both indoors in the fabrication shop and outdoors at installation sites.
Fast‑paced fabrication shop with wet polishing, stone cutting, and material handling. Exposure to dust, noise, water‑fed equipment, and heavy materials. Field installation work at residential and commercial construction sites.
Required PPE:
Steel‑toe boots, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, respirators (as required).
