Express Employment Professionals is hiring on behalf of a reputable local client for a Skilled Laborer to join their construction team.

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Skilled Laborer to support carpenters and construction crews on a variety of projects. This role is ideal for someone with hands‑on experience who enjoys working outdoors and contributing to high‑quality craftsmanship.

• Assist carpenters with:
  Wood framing, siding installation, doors, cabinetry, and finish work
• Perform general labor duties:
  Material handling, staging, organizing, and job site cleanup
• Support site preparation:
  Excavation, snow removal, and landscaping tasks
• Spread, shovel, and level materials (dirt, gravel, fill, etc.)
• Assist with light scaffolding setup and teardown
• Assemble construction materials and finishes
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites and surrounding areas
• Work safely around equipment, chemicals, and active construction environments

• Basic construction and general labor experience preferred
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools
• Strong material handling and job site organization skills
• Ability to follow directions and adapt quickly to new tasks
• Understanding of job site safety practices

• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work environments
• Complete assigned tasks efficiently with minimal supervision
• Ensure materials are properly handled and staged
• Provide consistent, reliable support to carpenters and skilled trades
• Demonstrate steady productivity and reliable attendance

• Strong work ethic and dependability
• Willingness to learn and take direction

• Ability to lift and carry 30+ lbs regularly
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and perform repetitive movements
• Comfortable working at heights (ladders and scaffolding)
• Good hand and finger dexterity

• Hand tools (hammer, tape measure, level, etc.)
• Power tools (drills, saws, screw guns, etc.)
• Shovels, rakes, and landscaping tools
• Light scaffolding equipment
• Work performed near heavy equipment and cranes
