Our customer is a locally owned electrician service provider, specializing in projects at upscale residences and properties in the Flathead Valley (Kalispell, MT) region. We are in need of a top-notch Journeyman Electrician/Project Lead to oversee and finish top-tier residential projects.
SummaryThis role combines fieldwork and project management, catering to a professional who excels both on-site and in client interactions. As the main contact for luxury custom home constructions, you will be in charge of ensuring intricate electrical systems, including automation and architectural lighting, are executed with meticulous attention to detail. You will oversee the project process from initial walkthrough to final inspection, leading a small team and personally handling crucial installations.
Roles & Responsibilities- Supervise on-site teams in the installation of sophisticated residential systems; carry out high-end tasks like installing luxury fixtures and integrating smart-home technology.
- Hands‑on work in wiring, termination, and programming of Category 6 (Cat6), coax, and fiber optic cabling for integrated whole‑home audio, security, and Wi‑Fi networks.
- Precisely mount and set up custom lighting, chandeliers, and automated window treatments.
- Install and upkeep of whole‑home backup systems, including automatic transfer switches (ATS), standby generators, and battery storage solutions.
- Manage project schedules, labor hours, and material procurement to ensure projects stay on track and within budget.
- Participate in weekly site meetings and effectively communicate technical requirements.
- Conduct thorough inspections to verify that every wire and device meets NEC code and company standards for custom homes.
- Monitor change orders, update “as‑built” drawings, and handle RFI processes using project management software.
- Certification: Valid Montana Journeyman Electrician License
- Background: Minimum 5+ years of experience in the electrical field, with at least 2 years in the high‑end custom residential sector.
- Technical Knowledge: Profound understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Familiarity with lighting control systems (e.g., Lutron, Control4, or Savant).
- Capability to comprehend and interpret complex architectural blueprints and schematics.
