Job Description – Case Manager (Flathead Valley Reentry Center, Kalispell, MT)

The Montana Department of Corrections is establishing a safer Montana through Accountability, Rehabilitation and Empowerment. The new Flathead Valley Reentry Center supports individuals returning to their community. As a Case Manager you will help residents navigate programming, treatment, reentry planning, and facility expectations.

• Case planning, prioritizing, and managing caseloads.
• Release planning, motivational interviewing, conducting risk assessments, and facilitating groups related to specific needs of the population.
• Deliver interventions and incentives to target behavior change.
• Coordinate with other staff to assess program progress and completion.
• Maintain daily contact with adult offenders serving sentences for felony convictions in a correctional facility setting.

• Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, psychology, education, or a related field.
• At least two (2) years of job‑related experience.
• Alternative combinations of education and experience may be considered on a case‑by‑case basis.

• Prevention of prisoner rape and sexual abuse – applicants with the specified convictions or conduct are not qualified.
• Tobacco‑free policy – use of all tobacco products is prohibited in Department of Corrections buildings.

Hourly: $28.04. Benefits include health insurance, paid leave & holidays, and a retirement plan.
