Job description
Linney is a world‑class, multichannel marketing services business. We are looking for a senior front‑end developer to support with designing and developing high‑quality web applications using HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript, and building scalable, maintainable front‑end architecture along with setting development standards.
The successful candidate will need to lead front‑end development across projects while mentoring other developers and working closely with designers, back‑end developers, and project managers to deliver features from concept through to release.
They will need to take ownership of projects to ensure their successful delivery, liaising with stakeholders and maintaining and enhancing existing applications and websites. They will also ensure applications meet high standards of performance, usability, accessibility, and cross‑browser compatibility.
Happy to contribute to technical decisions including tooling, frameworks, and architecture, they will also explore development opportunities across emerging platforms and devices.
Essential skills and experience- Expert‑level JavaScript knowledge, including a deep understanding of the language beyond frameworks
- Strong experience with Node.js
- Experience with HTML5 and CSS3
- Experience with modern front‑end frameworks, preferably Vue
- Strong understanding of browser behaviour, performance optimisation, and cross‑browser development
- Experience using version control systems (Git) and integrating with server‑side technologies (.NET or similar APIs)
- Strong understanding of accessibility standards and UX best practices
- Experience reviewing code and mentoring other developers
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
- Experience leading projects
- Interest in developing applications for Smart TV platforms, including Samsung Tizen and LG WebOS
- Curiosity about working with system‑on‑chip (SoC) environments and embedded browser platforms
- Experience contributing to front‑end architecture or technical strategy
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern build tooling
- Experience working in agile teams
