Laborer

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a hardworking and dependable Laborer for a local building supply company. This position involves stocking, loading, unloading, and delivering construction materials, including drywall, roofing supplies, ceiling tiles, paint, and other building products.

This is a physically demanding role that requires continuous heavy lifting throughout the day. Candidates who successfully complete the initial 8-hour working interview and demonstrate strong performance may be offered a long-term opportunity with the client.

• Pack, stock, and organize sheetrock and building materials
• Load and unload drywall sheets, roofing supplies, paint pails, ceiling tiles, and boxes of mud
• Deliver and stock materials at customer job sites
• Move products safely and efficiently throughout warehouse and job site locations
• Assist with inventory organization and material staging
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies
• Work as part of a team to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment

• Ability to perform repetitive heavy lifting throughout the workday
• Frequently lift 50–60 lbs and lift up to 125 lbs on a continual basis
• Strong physical stamina and a good back for strenuous labor
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic

• Forklift experience
• Building supply, lumber yard, roofing, drywall, or construction material experience
• Warehouse experience
• Valid driver's license (CDL not required, but highly preferred)
• General construction or labor experience
• Mechanically inclined or handy background

• Continuous lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling materials
• Frequent lifting of 50–60 lbs
• Ability to lift up to 125 lbs on a regular basis
• Standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching throughout the shift
• Ability to work in warehouse and outdoor job-site environments

• Drug screen required upon hire-on with the client
• Criminal background check conducted if selected for permanent employment

• $22.00 per hour
• Monday–Friday
• 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
• 8-hour working interview
