As a pivotal role within the City of Merritt's RCMP Detachment, you will handle inquiries and process sensitive material efficiently. The ideal candidate has a background in criminology and at least two years of relevant office experience. Your responsibilities will include managing records, assisting field officers, and operating RCMP information systems, ensuring effective communication and problem resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process public inquiries via phone, email, and in-person

• Maintain sensitive police records and files accurately

• Assist front-line officers with necessary operational support

• Handle document reviews and data entry tasks effectively

• Organize police files for various requests and disclosures

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in criminology or related field

• Minimum two years of records management experience

• Knowledge of RCMP information systems preferred

• Typing speed of at least 50 words per minute

• Ability to obtain RCMP Reliability Security Clearance
