Position: Client Services Clerk for RCMP
Location: Merritt

Embrace a pivotal role with the City of Merritt as an RCMP Disclosure and Records Clerk, delivering vital client services and administrative support. Your expertise will be key in navigating sensitive police information responsibly.

Working within the supportive team at the City of Merritt, you will be the critical link between the police detachment and the community. Your responsibilities will encompass managing inquiries and complaints, as well as assisting frontline officers with essential operational tasks. Familiarity with police records management and effective communication skills are crucial for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Address public inquiries and process complaints efficiently

• Support RCMP officers in field operations and data management

• Handle sensitive and confidential information with care

• Create and maintain operational files and police records

• Execute data entry and manage Police Information Checks

Requirements:

• Minimum of two years’ experience in records and office management

• Post-secondary education in criminology or a related field

• Strong knowledge of access to information legislation

• Typing proficiency of 50 words per minute or more

• Familiarity with RCMP systems such as PRIME and CPIC
