Overview
Arrow Environmental Services (AES) provides customized, turnkey residuals management services for producers and users across British Columbia. AES identifies beneficial uses and viable markets for residual materials that may otherwise end up in landfills or waterways. Through a sustainable, circular-economy approach, AES helps customers reduce waste and manage multiple residual streams for beneficial end uses, including reclamation, horticulture and agriculture. AES is wholly owned by Arrow Transportation, providing the stability of a 100-year-old company with the entrepreneurial spirit of a small business.
We are looking for a Project Coordinator to join our team in Kamloops, BC.
The Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and administering project activities throughout the project lifecycle. This role supports the effective flow of information from the job site to key stakeholders and helps ensure project data, updates and documentation are accurate, timely and complete. The Project Coordinator prepares operating plans and schedules with a focus on resource allocation, risk management and overall project coordination.
This position is also responsible for maintaining safety and operational documentation and supporting project costing inquiries.
Responsibilities
Oversee and coordinate project schedules, resources, equipment, information and procurement activities, including sourcing, purchasing and tracking materials, equipment, supplies and services required for project delivery
Assist with administrative coordination between Project Manager and prospective customers such as preparing sales agreements, contracts, and other supporting documents
Travel to various sites to measure product volumes and refine techniques that improve product-weight accuracy using drone technology and supporting software
Perform thorough task analysis, breaking down projects into attainable milestones with corresponding task schedules and deadlines. Assign tasks and responsibilities to internal personnel and monitor progress to ensure schedules are not compromised
Support project budgeting process including monitoring and tracking budget and project
Analyze risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle
Will be the primary point of contact for all project related correspondence; communicating updates on project status to all vested stakeholders as required
Participate in and support quality control and project reporting requirements
Support contract management and adherence of multiple concurrent contracts
Ensure that all project activities are clearly defined and liaise with clients to identify and define project requirements, scope and objectives
Ensures that clients’ needs are met as the project evolves
Work indoors in a professional office environment and outdoors at our various Arrow Environmental sites
Travel is required
Overtime may be required
Other duties as assigned
You Possess
Grade 12 and progressive experience 4-6 years or post-secondary certificate or degree/diploma program and 1-3 years of experience required
Valid driver's license and ability to drive to various project sites as required
Able to perform moderate account reconciliations
Proficiency with Microsoft suite of programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, One Drive, SharePoint as well as the ability to quickly learn new computer applications i.e. Arrow custom applications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
Strong organizational, planning, prioritization, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Must possess a high level of moral judgment for handling confidential information
Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships in a diverse environment
