Support community initiatives as the Lands Administrative Assistant for the Lower Nicola Indian Band (LNIB) in British Columbia. This full-time role focuses on administrative support, governance coordination, and member outreach.
As a pivotal role within the Lands Department, the Administrative Assistant will provide comprehensive clerical, communication, and financial support. Key responsibilities include maintaining organized records, coordinating meetings for the Lands Management Advisory Committee, and facilitating regular communication with LNIB members. You’ll also assist with event planning and administrative tracking to enhance departmental efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide daily administrative support to the Lands Department
• Maintain organized filing systems for land records
• Coordinate schedules for Lands Management Advisory Committee meetings
• Assist with newsletter submissions and departmental updates
• Help plan community engagement events and activities
Requirements:
• Diploma in Office Administration or related field
• Experience with records management and document organization
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail and confidentiality handling information
• Experience supporting committees or governance bodies
Contribute significantly to the operational success of the LNIB while promoting cultural sustainability and community engagement.
