Operations Coordinator for Human Services

Location: Merritt

Become a Human Services Operations Coordinator with the Lower Nicola Indian Band in Merritt, BC. This full-time role focuses on administrative support, accreditation processes, and community engagement.

In this position, you will provide extensive support to the Director of Human Services and the entire Human Services Department. Responsibilities include managing daily operations, developing policies, and ensuring quality improvement initiatives. You'll be integral in maintaining documentation for accreditation while promoting high-quality services tailored to community needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide administrative support to the Director of Human Services

• Assist in policy development and accreditation processes

• Manage reports, records, and departmental filing systems

• Coordinate community meetings and departmental events

• Support budget preparation and financial documentation

Requirements:

• Certificate in Business Administration or related field

• Minimum three years administrative experience

• Strong skills in Microsoft 365 and records management

• Familiarity with First Nations organizations preferred

• Understanding of cultural safety and community values
