Position Summary
Interior Health Authority offers a permanent full‑time Accounts Receivable Clerk position in Kamloops, B.C. The role operates Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:00 with days off Sunday, Saturday, and STAT.

Responsibilities
The position is located in the centralized corporate Billing and Accounts Receivable department and involves the following clerical duties:

Generate billings and statements of account from the computer or manually.

Post charges and payments to the Accounts Receivable sub‑ledger.

Collect accounts in accordance with policies and procedures.

Follow up on overdue accounts by initiating and responding to correspondence and telephone contacts from patients, agencies, and insurers.

Application Requirements

5‑minute typing test (≥45 NWPM) from a recognized institution, completed within the past 48 months (non‑supervised tests not accepted).  for testing details.

Certificate or official transcript showing proof of completion of a recognized accounting course.

Resume indicating at least two years of recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Cover letter stating availability to start and work on‑call, casual days of the week.

Certificates, diplomas or transcripts must be from accredited schools, colleges or universities.

Additional Information
BC’s health system is in process of transformation. Certain finance roles may transition to a new provincial shared services organization, BC Shared Health Services. Qualifications

Grade 12 diploma.

Successful completion of a recognized accounting course.

At least two years of recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Administration of a 5‑minute typing certificate of 45 WPM in the last 48 months from an approved institution (non‑supervised tests not accepted).
