Make a significant impact as a Director on the Board for the Lower Nicola Indian Band Development Corporation (LNIBDC) located in Merritt, BC. This in-person position focuses on strategic economic development, supporting Indigenous self-determination, with monthly and quarterly meeting commitments.
The LNIBDC seeks dedicated professionals for its Board of Directors. This role involves governance and oversight activities, ensuring alignment with the Nation’s economic, environmental, and cultural objectives. Board members will commit to quarterly meetings with virtual options available, providing a unique opportunity to shape the Nation’s future.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee business operations and financial reporting
• Contribute to long-term strategic planning initiatives
• Ensure compliance with governance laws and policies
• Review budgets and assess project performance
• Engage actively with community members and stakeholders
Requirements:
• Proven experience in business, finance, or governance
