Senior Project Controller – Infrastructure Development
Location:
Kamloops, BC (In-Office) Job Type: Full-Time Salary: $100,000 – $130,000 (flexible based on experience)
Our client is a rapidly growing infrastructure development company focused on large-scale, high-impact projects across Canada. With a strong pipeline of complex developments, they are building out their internal finance team to support continued growth.
This is a unique opportunity to step into a senior-level role where you’ll play a key part in shaping financial operations, supporting major capital projects, and working alongside a highly experienced leadership team.
What You’ll Be Doing- Oversee financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements
- Manage full-cycle accounting and maintain the integrity of the general ledger
- Lead project-based accounting across multiple large-scale infrastructure developments
- Track project costs, budgets, forecasts, and cost-to-complete reporting
- Support lender and investor reporting requirements
- Develop and manage project budgets, cash flow forecasts, and capital planning
- Implement and maintain internal controls and financial governance processes
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and external partners
- Support audits, tax compliance, and year-end processes
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Actively pursuing CPA designation (or enrolled in CPA PEP)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience in construction, infrastructure, or project-based environments is strongly preferred
- Strong project accounting and cost tracking experience
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting systems (e.g., Xero or similar)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Experience supporting large-scale or capital-intensive projects
- Exposure to infrastructure, energy, or complex development environments
- Familiarity with project management or construction systems
