We are seeking an experienced Taxation Manager to oversee the City's property tax operations. This full-time role involves managing substantial financial transactions and delivering crucial services to the community.
As a member of the Finance leadership team, you will report to the Financial Services Manager and act as the City’s Collector under the Community Charter.
Your role will focus on ensuring compliance with public sector accounting standards while driving operational improvements. This position is essential for maintaining financial integrity and exemplary customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage property tax operations and annual revenue collection
• Ensure compliance with public sector financial standards
• Drive improvements in taxation processes
• Deliver high-quality customer service
• Collaborate with the finance team for effective operations
Requirements:
• Degree in Business Administration or equivalent
• CPA designation required
• 5-7 years of management experience in finance
• Familiarity with large financial systems
• Strong leadership and communication capabilities
Lead critical taxation functions and contribute to the City’s financial management and customer outreach.
