Adams Lake Band Senior Accounting Leader

Become a key financial leader at Adams Lake Indian Band as a Senior Manager in Finance and Accounting. Engage in vital responsibilities, including financial oversight and compliance management.

You will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer, overseeing the full spectrum of financial functions, from audits to financial reporting.

Your role will involve ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations while also mentoring the finance team. Collaboration is key, as you will work across various departments to foster financial efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee financial statement preparation in line with PSAS

• Maintain comprehensive control over internal financial policies

• Prepare content for annual financial reports

• Liaise with auditors for year-end compliance

• Manage cash controls and financial risk assessments

Requirements:

• Bachelor's in finance, accounting, or related discipline; CPA required

• Five years of senior-level accounting experience

• Strong leader with a collaborative approach

• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Sage 300

• Commitment to First Nations principles and values
