K’en T’em is seeking an Environment and Regulatory Manager to lead and oversee environmental programs, regulatory compliance activities, permitting requirements, and environmental stewardship initiatives across the organization. This position is responsible for ensuring organizational compliance with applicable legislation, regulations, permits, and industry standards while supporting sustainable business operations and responsible resource management. The Environment and Regulatory Manager provides leadership to environmental professionals and technical staff, supports project development and delivery, and works collaboratively with regulators, Indigenous communities, clients, contractors, and internal departments to balance environmental, operational, and community interests.
This role plays a critical part in protecting environmental values, maintaining regulatory compliance, managing environmental risk, and supporting KTLP's commitment to environmental stewardship and responsible development.
Primary Duties
- Lead and oversee the planning, implementation, and management of environmental and regulatory programs and services,
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, provincial, Indigenous, and municipal environmental legislation, regulations, permits, approvals, and organizational policies,
- Lead environmental permitting, regulatory submissions, monitoring requirements, and reporting obligations,
- Develop, implement, and maintain environmental management systems, procedures, and compliance frameworks,
- Provide leadership, supervision, mentorship, and performance management to environmental professionals, technical staff, and contractors,
- Support environmental planning and regulatory requirements for business development opportunities, projects, and operational activities,
- Coordinate environmental assessments, studies, monitoring programs, and regulatory reporting initiatives,
- Develop and manage departmental budgets, resources, schedules, and work plans,
- Monitor environmental performance indicators and prepare reports for leadership, clients, regulatory agencies, and community partners,
- Collaborate with internal departments, Indigenous communities, regulatory agencies, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders,
- Identify, assess, and mitigate environmental and regulatory risks,
- Ensure environmental, health, safety, and operational standards are maintained and continuously improved,
- Support negotiations, consultations, and engagement activities related to environmental and regulatory matters,
- Promote environmental stewardship, sustainability, and continuous improvement throughout the organization,
- Support the development and implementation of organizational policies, procedures, and best practices related to environmental and regulatory management,
- Participate in strategic planning, operational planning, and organizational initiatives, and
- Other duties as assigned by the Natural Resources Manager.
Knowledge,

- Thorough understanding of environmental legislation, regulations, permitting processes, and compliance requirements,
