Assistant Project Manager – Facilities Services
Responsible for overseeing small and large projects in an active hospital environment, managing all stages from pre‑construction to completion.
Key Responsibilities- Provide overall project management for projects from pre‑construction to completion, including design, coordination, budget, and schedule.
- Manage all facets of a project, taking direct accountability for delivery to meet and exceed established goals including scope, schedule, budget, procurement, quality, and risk.
- Interact with and coordinate consultants and contractors, providing direction on behalf of the owner.
- Oversee day‑to‑day contractor work at the site.
- Plan and coordinate all health and safety aspects required for project completion.
- Develop and implement a communication plan, maintain written reports and meeting minutes, and track progress and status of each project.
- Prepare detailed scopes of work, RFP documents, cost estimates and budgets, work‑plan schedules and milestones, quality control, and risk identification.
- Prepare regular, timely, and accurate billing and ensure timely payment of subcontractor billings.
- Meet with hospital clients, end users, clinical teams, consultants, and subcontractors in a professional manner, communicating both concerns and best interests of the company.
- Monitor, interpret, and forecast project cost reports to ensure they align with the estimate.
- Lead project meetings with internal and external parties to support the team’s development and progression.
- Submit project reports to the General Manager and Senior Manager, communicating risks that need escalation.
- Construction‑related degree or diploma and at least 3years of construction experience, or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience in a project‑management role.
- Working knowledge of construction scopes and activities, scheduling, project management, and contract software.
- Ability to mentor and delegate to a large team while maintaining strong client relations.
- Will work primarily at one of our Facilities Services sites.
Salary range: $70,000 – $90,000.
