:Major Job Functions
Lead,demonstrateand champion a healthy and safe work environment, ensuring all safety standards, policies,proceduresand compliance requirements are communicated,implementedand followed
Responsible for day-to-day leadership of staff, including recruitment, orientation, coaching, mentoring, employee engagement, performance feedback, and supporting growth and development opportunities
Spendthe majority oftime in the field with technicians to ensure the agreed upon scope of work is accurately followed,determineproper tooling and parts, resolve technical issues promptly, and ensure daily time and service reports are completed
Manage,assignandallocatetechnicians to jobs and conduct pre, mid and post job reviews
Education and Experience
Minimum 4+ years of experience working with Caterpillar equipment and engines
Proven leadership experience, withdemonstratedability to lead, coach and supervise employees in a field environment
Strong communicationskills with the ability to clearly convey job scope,directionand expectations to front line teams
Well developeddecision making and problem-solving skills, with the ability to address technical and operational challenges effectively
Strong business acumen and understanding of operational priorities
Solid knowledge of the Caterpillar product line, systems and supported processes, including warranty and product health structure
Experience working within established processes, including collective agreements, performancemanagementand disciplinary practices
Proficiencywith applicable systems and tools, including SIS,SIMSi, SIMS, DSN and DPSS
Understanding of the principles of high-performance leadership and employee development
