Director of University Governance Operations

Oversee the strategic operations of university governance as the Director of Operations, ensuring effective decision-making. Foster relationships across all governance bodies and senior leadership.

In this pivotal position, you will report to the Chief of Staff and manage the University Secretariat, facilitating the governance activities of the Board of Governors, Senate, and Planning Council for Open Learning. Your leadership will be essential in guiding teams through governance processes and developing policy initiatives that reflect best practices. You'll focus on collaboration, quality service delivery, and supporting strategic campus initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the University Secretariat and foster high performance

• Facilitate the development of governance frameworks and policies

• Engage with senior leadership to enhance governance processes

• Coordinate meetings and maintain governance documentation

• Uphold equity and indigenization within governance structures

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Public Administration or related field

• 5-7 years' experience in governance or university administration

• Strong background in governance structures and operations

• Proven leadership in a complex administrative role

• Project management skills with attention to detail
