Cumulative Effects Leader at LNIB

Location: Merritt

Join LNIB as the Cumulative Effects and Guardian Manager in Merritt, BC, earning up to $45 CAD per hour. This full-time role combines leadership with Indigenous stewardship and community engagement.

In this important position, you will guide the Land Guardian team, enhancing environmental monitoring efforts and fostering community connections to cultural resources. You will blend traditional knowledge with modern practices to champion stewardship initiatives and support the well-being of the Nlaka’pamux community and its cultural heritage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide training and mentorship to Guardian team

• Guide monitoring of wildlife, vegetation, and cultural heritage

• Report on project outcomes and risks to stakeholders

• Collaborate with community for engagement activities

• Develop sustainable program budgets and proposals

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years’ monitoring or resource management experience

• Relevant post-secondary education preferred

• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License

• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences

• Familiarity with environmental management principles
