Safety & Training Manager Role

Transdev Canada is looking for a Safety & Training Manager in Kamloops, BC. Lead the charge in fostering a strong safety culture through effective training and compliance management.

In this key role, reporting to the leadership team, you will implement safety and health programs with a focus on continuous improvement. The role emphasizes collaboration among managers and employees to ensure safety standards are met and training is delivered effectively. Ideal candidates bring OH&S expertise and solid communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive the continuous improvement of safety programs

• Liaise with WorkSafeBC for claims and inspections

• Conduct thorough incident investigations and assessments

• Develop and maintain employee training records

• Lead safety meetings and promote employee engagement

Requirements:

• Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field

• Minimum of 7 years in occupational safety roles

• 2 years of management experience preferred

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license essential

• Knowledgeable in Workers Compensation Act and regulations
