Youth & Elder Representatives – Lands Selection Committee
The Lower Nicola Indian Band is seeking one (1) Youth Representative and one (1) Elder Representative to serve on the Lands Selection Committee
.
This committee plays an important role in supporting the work of Council by providing community perspectives and guidance on matters related to land selection and land stewardship. Representatives will have the opportunity to share their knowledge, experiences, and voices to help shape decisions that will benefit current and future generations.
We are looking for individuals who:- Are members of the Lower Nicola Indian Band.
- Have an interest in land, community planning, and stewardship.
- Can attend committee meetings as required.
- Are respectful, collaborative, and committed to representing the interests of the community.
Applicants should be between the ages of 16 and 29 and have an interest in learning about land governance while contributing the perspective of LNIB youth.
Elder RepresentativeApplicants should be recognized as an Elder within the community and be willing to share their knowledge, cultural teachings, and guidance to support the committee's work.
How to ApplyInterested individuals are invited to submit a brief Expression of Interest outlining:
- Why you would like to serve on the committee.
- Any relevant experience, knowledge, or community involvement.
- Which representative position you are applying for (Youth or Elder).
