Métis Family Program Coordinator

Position: Métis Family Program Coordinator Role
Lead nutrition education for Métis families as the Healthy Family Program Coordinator. Focus on culturally relevant programming aimed at children ages birth to eight.

This role requires strong community engagement and program management skills. You will develop and deliver food literacy and wellness initiatives in collaboration with Elders and community partners. Your work will maximize access to nutrition resources, promoting healthy eating and positive child development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement Métis Food Program Framework from community insights

• Conduct research for program improvement and challenges

• Develop guidelines and enhance community leadership

• Organize workshops on nutrition and traditional food knowledge

• Report on program feedback and outcomes for transparency

Requirements:

• Diploma in Nutrition, Indigenous studies, or related field

• At least three years in program coordination or community engagement

• Strong understanding of Métis culture and traditions

• Excellent project management and communication skills

• Ability to secure funding and manage partnerships
