Applied Industrial Technologies is seeking a motivated and customer‑focused Technical Sales Representative to join the team in Kamloops, BC. The role involves building strong customer relationships, competing for new business opportunities, and helping customers improve the performance and efficiency of their machinery and operations.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers

Identify opportunities to grow sales and expand market presence within the region

Work closely with customers to understand operational challenges and recommend effective technical solutions

Promote products and services related to industrial motion, fluid power, hydraulics, bearings, power transmission, and related mechanical technologies

Provide technical support and product recommendations to improve equipment reliability and operational efficiency

Prepare quotations, follow up on opportunities, and close sales effectively

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure excellent customer service and timely delivery of solutions

Stay informed on industry trends, products, and competitive offerings

Represent the company professionally while delivering a high level of customer satisfaction

Qualifications & Skills

Experience in industrial sales, technical sales, or a related field is preferred

Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of industrial equipment, hydraulics, or mechanical technologies

Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship‑building skills

Competitive and driven mindset with the ability to pursue and win new business opportunities

Team‑oriented attitude with the ability to work collaboratively across departments

Problem‑solving mindset with a focus on helping customers improve operational performance

Strong organizational and time‑management skills

Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the territory as required

Preferred Experience

Background in hydraulics, fluid power, bearings, pumps, motors, or industrial automation

Experience supporting customers in mining, forestry, manufacturing, construction, or heavy industry sectors

Familiarity with industrial distribution or MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) environments
