Logging Geologist Position in Logan Lake

Join Highland Valley Copper as a Logging Geologist, where you can make a difference in data collection at Canada’s largest copper mine. This on-site, temporary full-time role is focused on safe operations in Logan Lake, BC.

Reporting directly to the Senior Geologist, you will ensure precise collection and logging of geological data, vital for resource modeling and analysis. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively within a collaborative team setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure adherence to safety and environmental protocols

• Maintain workflow efficiency in the core facility

• Produce accurate drill logs leveraging available data

• Oversee geotechnical data and ensure its accuracy

• Update and refine geological models with Leapfrog

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology or a related discipline

• At least three years of experience in mining operations

• Membership eligibility as a Geoscientist-in-Training or Professional Geoscientist

• Familiarity with machine learning applications is a plus

• Valid driver's license needed
