Position: Full-Time Ecosystems Biologist Position
Join the BC Public Service as an Ecosystems Biologist in Kamloops, BC. Focus on stewardship, habitat conservation, and collaborative environmental assessments in a dynamic team.

In this role, you'll be part of a dedicated team of biologists and professionals committed to conserving biodiversity in the Thompson Okanagan Region. Your responsibilities will include monitoring species and their habitats while developing strategic recommendations for sustainable resource management. This position fosters engagement with diverse community stakeholders to ensure effective stewardship practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor species and habitats using science-based assessments

• Develop and evaluate mitigation measures for environmental impacts

• Collaborate with First Nations and government partners

• Manage complex natural resource projects

• Apply natural resource legislation in practical settings

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in biological sciences or equivalent

• Two years of relevant experience; or Bachelor's with four years

• Experience in species/habitat monitoring

• Valid B.C. driver’s license

• Must meet safety standards of Work Safe BC
