Schedule: 4 days on / 4 days off, 10-hour shifts

About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Red Seal Electrician to support the Site Wide Services project at Highland Valley Copper – Mine Life Extension (MLE). This multi-year project will run through 2027 and plays a key role in supporting mining operations and infrastructure.
In this position, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment
, ensuring compliance with electrical codes and site safety standards. The role requires a hands‑on, detail‑oriented individual comfortable working in an industrial mining environment.
The ideal candidate is a certified Red Seal Electrician with strong troubleshooting skills, a focus on safety, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team setting.
Key Responsibilities- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems, equipment, and components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and electrical schematics.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems.
- Ensure all work meets CSA, CEC, and site‑specific electrical standards.
- Support commissioning and start‑up of electrical systems as needed.
- Collaborate with other trades to coordinate work safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate documentation of electrical work performed and materials used.
- Actively participate in daily safety meetings and uphold a strong safety culture.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in industrial or mining settings.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, control circuits, and instrumentation.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Physically capable of working in a mining environment with varying weather conditions.
- Valid Driver's License and ability to travel to site.
- Strong problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
