Highland Valley Copper (HVC) Operations is Canada’s largest open‑pit copper mine and molybdenum operation. HVC produces both copper and molybdenum concentrate through autogenous and semi‑autogenous grinding and flotation. Located approximately 17 kilometers west of Logan Lake and about 50 kilometers southwest of Kamloops in British Columbia, the surrounding areas of HVC have an abundant offering of outdoor experiences.

As part of Teck’s team, you will report to the Mill Maintenance Supervisor and be responsible for the repair and maintenance of on‑site structures and equipment. Millwrights work a 4x4 rotation, consisting of two days, two nights, followed by four days off. This role is not camp‑based; candidates must reside locally and be able to commute to site independently. You will contribute to sustaining a safety‑first environment and be a safety leader.

• Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
• Preventative maintenance, machinery installation and machine repair
• Read and interpret blueprints, manuals or millwright process specifications
• Operate hoisting and lifting equipment
• Troubleshoot production problems and take preventative or corrective action
• Maintain a clean, orderly and safe work environment

• Must possess an Interprovincial Journeyperson Millwright red seal trade qualification
• Industrial experience is an asset
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must be willing to work shift work
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license

CAD $56.61 per hour

  Highland Valley Copper is a 50‑minute drive from Kamloops, which has all the comforts of city living and is also close to Merritt, Ashcroft, and Logan Lake, which all exude a small town community atmosphere.
• Access:
  This is a drive‑in/drive‑out role. Most employees commute to site by car, and carpooling is common among team members.
