Join Adams Lake Indian Band as an Assistant Lead Carpenter and enhance community housing through expert carpentry. Supervise projects while mentoring local apprentices and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

This full-time permanent role requires overseeing renovations, repairs, and new construction on band properties. You will facilitate skill development in apprentices, ensuring work quality and safety across diverse trades. This position offers an opportunity to make a lasting community impact while being hands-on in construction activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute carpentry renovations including framing and cabinetry

• Serve as a mentor to apprentices and trainees

• Ensure safety and efficiency on construction sites

• Communicate project updates to the Housing Director

• Conduct assessments to determine material needs

Requirements:

• Several years of construction experience, supervisory preferred

• Red Seal certification ideal

• Construction trade certification required

• Familiarity with BC Building Code regulations

• Current Criminal Records Check with vulnerable sector clearance
