Community-Focused Assistant Lead Carpenter

Location: Chase

Make a difference as an Assistant Lead Carpenter with the Adams Lake Indian Band. Lead skilled carpentry renovations while mentoring apprentices and ensuring safety and quality standards.

In this full-time permanent position, you’ll manage various construction projects on band-owned properties, including framing and trim work. You will play a vital role in the training of community members while collaborating with other trades for successful project execution. Your commitment to safety and quality will help provide culturally respectful housing improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead execution of carpentry renovations and repairs

• Mentor and support apprentices on-site

• Coordinate work with other trades for project efficiency

• Ensure compliance with construction drawings and specifications

• Assess site needs and communicate with the Housing Director

Requirements:

• Experience in a supervisory role within construction

• Red Seal certification preferred

• Knowledge of BC Building Code requirements

• Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License

• Effective communication and organizational skills
