We are looking for a Service Technician with the drive and ambition to succeed in a dealership environment.
The Service / Coach Bus Technician is responsible for maintaining a modern fleet of highway coaches and school buses. If you take pride in ensuring passengers travel safely and comfortably across BC, we want you on our team. Responsibilities shall include:
- Prepare for each service job by reviewing repair orders and gathering tools, information, and parts.
- Perform inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs following established procedures and safety standards.
- Restore vehicles to proper working condition and ensure your work area is clean and organized.
- Document all findings and completed work and communicate any additional issues discovered.
- Close out repair orders accurately and support smooth transitions to the next job.
- Mentor technicians and apprentices by sharing skills, offering guidance, and supporting their development.
- Promote a safe work environment by encouraging proper practices and helping maintain tools and equipment.
- A Red Seal Heavy duty or Truck and Transport Journeyman qualification
- BC Commercial Vehicle Inspection Program (CVIP) License is preferred
- Previous experience working on Prevost, MCI, or similar highway coach models is an asset
- Diagnosing and repairing advanced diesel engines, drive train, and air brake systems/ air ride systems
- Troubleshooting complex multiplex electrical systems and specialized coachHVAC units
- Class 2 or better drivers license an asset
