Irrigation Systems Maintenance Specialist

Become a vital part of School District No. 73 as an Irrigation Systems Maintenance Specialist, focusing on installation and upkeep of irrigation systems. This full-time role offers a hands-on environment for those with a passion for outdoor work.

Reporting to the Grounds Manager, you will undertake various skilled and semi-skilled tasks related to irrigation systems. This includes independently managing installations, maintenance, and repairs of systems to optimize performance. Your expertise will ensure a well-maintained educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Help layout and install irrigation systems

• Conduct warranty work for irrigation supplies

• Replace heads and clean systems regularly

• Start and shut down systems per seasonal needs

• Perform additional job-related duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Completion of Grade 12 and irrigation training

• Minimum two years of relevant experience

• Level 1 and 2 Irrigation Technician certification

• Valid B.C. Class 5 Driver’s License

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks
