Full-Time Corrosion Technician

FortisBC is currently looking for a Corrosion Technician with substantial experience to monitor and maintain cathodic protection systems across British Columbia. As a full-time employee, you’ll apply critical thinking and technical skills developed over seven years of hands-on experience and certifications.
Your role will focus on inspections, troubleshooting, and collaborating with various teams to enhance our safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
• Inspect and monitor pipelines for corrosion
• Test and maintain cathodic protection systems province-wide
• Analyze cathodic measurements against industry standards
• Report findings and recommend system improvements
• Coordinate with contractors for installation and maintenance tasks
Requirements:
• Certified Cathodic Protection Technician (CP2) designation
• Seven years of experience in corrosion control
• Strong understanding of industry standards and practices
• Proficient in data management systems and MS Office
• Valid BC Drivers License and a record of safe driving
