Electrician Position BC

Become a key player at Rocky Mountaineer as an Electrician in Kamloops, BC, specializing in maintaining electrical power and control systems. This role is integral to ensuring operational excellence across our rail facilities.

You will report to the Manager, Mechanical, and play a vital role in maintaining the safety and efficiency of our operations. This position is Safety Critical, necessitating a thorough medical examination.

Experience with SIEMENS PLC systems and a collaborative approach are highly valued in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain electrical systems and ensure ongoing effectiveness

• Perform assembly and testing of mechanical systems

• Check wiring integrity and compliance with standards

• Implement quality inspections to uphold manufacturing standards

• Assist other trades and take on ad-hoc duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Electrician Certificate with Interprovincial Red Seal Endorsement

• Hands-on industrial electrical experience

• Familiarity with SIEMENS and Ethernet protocols

• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles

• Effective communication and multitasking capabilities
