The Operations Forester role at Simpcw Resources Group focuses on overseeing forestry operations in the North Thompson Valley. Responsibilities include managing timber harvesting, road construction, permitting, and contractor oversight while maintaining environmental standards. Your expertise will support community growth and sustainable practices in forestry, working closely with internal teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate timber harvesting and road maintenance initiatives

• Develop Cutting and Road Permit applications for compliance

• Plan and supervise road construction and rehabilitation

• Ensure adherence to safety and environmental standards

• Monitor project budgets and contractor performance

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Forestry or equivalent

• Minimum 5 years operational forestry experience

• Eligible for registration with BC forestry organizations

• Strong knowledge of operational planning and compliance

• Excellent communication and leadership skills
