Position: TteS Equipment Operator III Wanted
Join Tke’mlúps te Secwépemc as an Equipment Operator III in the Public Works Department. This full-time role involves operating heavy machinery for essential community projects.

Candidates should possess a grade 10 education and several years of experience in equipment operation and maintenance. Your day-to-day tasks will include operating dump trucks and backhoes, performing safety checks, and assisting in landscaping and snow removal tasks essential for community welfare. Strong conflict resolution and client communication skills are vital for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate light and heavy equipment for public projects

• Conduct pre-trip inspections for safe operations

• Ensure maintenance of vehicles and machinery

• Manage snow removal and plowing tasks

• Support with grading and loading duties as required

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3-4 years of equipment operating experience

• Valid driver’s license and good driving record

• Must have First Aid Certification

• Basic mechanical skills preferred

• Ability to work independently and take direction
