Reporting to the Supervisor of Mechanical, you will be essential in repairing and maintaining a fleet of railcars. This position emphasizes your ability to work collaboratively with other skilled technicians while maintaining high standards of safety and performance. Key skills include welding and the ability to interpret mechanical drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform inspections and ensure regulatory compliance

• Repair couplers, brakes, and other mechanical components

• Collaborate with team members on maintenance tasks

• Document inspections and repairs thoroughly

• Participate in ongoing training and compliance initiatives

Requirements:

• Must possess a Railcar Mechanic or Carman certificate

• Welding experience is highly regarded

• Understanding of railcar systems and mechanisms required

• Solid experience with technical schematics is a must

• Familiarity with CMMS systems beneficial
