Aquatics Program Manager in Merritt

Location: Merritt

Lead aquatic initiatives as Aquatics Manager with the Lower Nicola Indian Band in Merritt, British Columbia. This full-time role focuses on fisheries programs, habitat restoration, and community engagement.

In this senior technical management position, you will report to the Director of Economic Development. Responsibilities include overseeing aquatic and fisheries field programs, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. Your leadership will advance LNIB's commitments to aquatic stewardship and community priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement aquatic and fisheries field programs

• Supervise field crews and manage project logistics

• Analyze biological and environmental data for assessments

• Ensure compliance with BC environmental regulations

• Build relationships with stakeholders and Indigenous communities

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Fisheries or Aquatic Biology

• 5+ years in freshwater aquatic biology or fisheries science

• Experience in environmental assessments and permitting

• Strong field leadership and project management skills

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license
