Are you a proven business development leader with deep ties to the financial institution landscape—especially credit unions and banks? A high-growth, digitally-driven private equity firm is seeking a Director of Business Development to join their team and lead LP fundraising efforts across fintech-focused strategies.

This is a high-impact role focused on securing capital commitments from financial institutions, building lasting relationships, and supporting the firm’s expansion in markets undergoing rapid digital transformation.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead outreach and relationship-building with prospective limited partners—primarily banks and credit unions.
  • Develop and execute fundraising strategies to achieve capital commitment goals.
  • Present the firm’s investment thesis, success stories, and market positioning to executive-level stakeholders.
  • Manage the full LP development lifecycle—from lead generation to close.
  • Represent the firm at industry events, investor meetings, and strategic networking forums.
  • Work closely with legal and internal teams to manage onboarding and compliance processes.

What You’ll Bring

  • 8–12+ years of business development experience with a strong focus on financial institutions.
  • A track record of securing institutional commitments—particularly in tech-forward, investment-focused settings.
  • Deep network and familiarity with credit union and banking decision-makers and ecosystems.
  • Strong grasp of fintech, financial services, and private equity investment dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and strategic sales skills.
  • Experience working with compliance and legal teams on investor onboarding.
  • Willingness to travel for meetings and events.
