- Teach assigned courses in the Discipline and/or Interdisciplinary Studies.
- Maintain a minimum of one office hour per week for each course taught.
- Prepare course syllabus and reports related to teaching and student progress.
- Work under supervision of the department chairperson in integrating teaching efforts with other instructors in the discipline area.
- Duties may include work with multi‑media presentations and distance education instruction.
- All minimum qualifications must be from institutions accredited by recognized US agencies and met by the effective date of appointment.
- SPANISH:
Functionally native oral and written fluency in Spanish; ability to communicate in English. - Master’s degree in Spanish (language or literature), Spanish as a Second Language, study of the culture or history of Spanish‑speaking peoples, or in Linguistics, ESL, Education, or another language.
- At least 12 credits of advanced coursework in second‑language methodology, Spanish literature, Spanish culture, or any combination thereof.
- Teaching experience at community college level.
- Demonstrated ability to work with adult learners.
- Familiarity with competency‑based instruction and behavioral objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.
- Experience in curriculum development.
