$72,513 annually

This position is located with the Department of Transportation
- Highways, Motor Vehicle Safety Office, State of Hawaii.

The Department of Human Resources Development
- State Recruiting Office will refer all inquiries regarding this recruitment to the DOT Personnel Office.

Plans, develops, implements, coordinates and oversees compliance with federal programs and projects as they relate to State of Hawaii identification credentials and vehicle registration. This position focuses partially on physical and critical infrastructure security, risk mitigation, program and system compliance, and coordination of credentialing and credentialing-related infrastructure efforts for the State of Hawaii.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS:

Knowledge of:
Principles, practices, and processes used to plan, develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate compliance with programs withing a regulatory environment; knowledge of applicable federal and state requirements governing REAL  and security documentation, as well as knowledge of information security and information technology governance concepts and controls; understanding of organizational procedures and regulatory mandates the guide program operations and documentation requirements.

Skills/Ability to:
Plan, develop, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate complex compliance, security, and information technology programs; interpret federal and state laws, regulations, policies, and technical security requirements related to REAL  information security governance, and apply knowledge to ensure programs are executed accurately and consistently; produce clear and well‑organized written materials and communicate effectively with diverse audiences. Provide coaching and corrective action to achieve program goals.

DESIRABLE

QUALIFICATIONS Education

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience & Training

General

Experience:

One and one‑half (1 ½) years of progressively responsible work experience demonstrating a high degree of analytical skill which included gathering, evaluating, and analyzing facts and other relevant information to identify issues, solve problems, and develop recommendations; and

Specialized

Experience:

Two (2) years of progressively responsible professional experience in one or a combination of the following areas:
1) Program Specialist Experience, which included the monitoring, evaluation, or analysis of programs or projects, including making recommendations for the development or revision of standard, policies, procedures, methods, or techniques and/or
2) Program Experience which involve professional experience in a field or program related to the agency's mission, functions, operations, or program activities such experience must have provided knowledge of applicable principles and practices, current issues and concerns within the field/program area, and the roles and functions of State and federal agencies.
