Role Overview

Mission Technologies – a division of HII – seeks a Network Administrator (Systems Administrator) to join the workforce at MCBH Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii. You will administer, maintain, and secure the Navy Enterprise Tactical Training Network (NETTN) client and server systems that support the Navy Integrated Training Environment (NITE). Candidate duties include collaboration with teammates and cross‑functional departments to update, monitor, and maintain servers and workstations across the enterprise.

• Perform Microsoft Windows server administration, including managing GPOs, creating/modifying DHCP reservations, patching, and implementing STIGs.
• Author standard operating procedures and provide Tier‑2 technical support.
• Maintain operation of multi‑user computer systems and coordinate with network administrators.
• Set up administrator and service accounts, maintain system documentation, tune system performance, install system‑wide software, and allocate mass storage space.
• Interact with users, evaluate vendor products, and recommend hardware/software purchases.
• Provide installation coordination and backup recovery support.
• Develop and monitor policies and standards related to computing resource utilization.

• Minimum of 6 years relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field; or 4 years with a Master’s degree; or high school diploma (or equivalent) with 10 years relevant experience.
• Security+ or equivalent certification.
• Secret security clearance.
• Experience with Microsoft WSUS or SCCM.
• Experience with Windows Server 2016/2019 and Active Directory.
• Experience with Windows desktop operating systems (Windows 10).
• Experience digesting and implementing DoD STIGs.
• Experience with patching Microsoft servers and workstations.
• Experience with VMware and familiarity with VDI technologies and protocols.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across multiple systems.
• Customer focus, ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Server‑focused experience.
• Linux+ or other Microsoft certifications preferred.
• Experience installing release upgrades.
• Red Hat desktop operating systems (RHEL 7/8) experience.

Adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity are required to meet the job responsibilities.
