Job SummaryThe Registered Nurse (RN) utilizes the nursing process to provide individualized care to residents. The RN collaborates with residents, families, and interdisciplinary colleagues, including providers, to plan, implement, and evaluate care. Responsibilities include
- Assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care
- Coordination of care, resident assessment, and resident education
- Serving as charge nurse when required and delegating tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel within scope and competency
- Ensuring safe, reliable administration of resident care and resolution of care concerns
- Operating within the scopes and standards of nursing practice as outlined by the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules
- Graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program (CCNE, ACEN, NLN CNEA) – Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Current, unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing in the state of practice; licensure in multiple states accepted if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
